DAILY PROMPT: MICHELANGELO’S YOU
Your personal sculptor is carving a person, thing, or event from the last month of your life into the glistening marble of immortality. What’s the statue and what makes it so significant?
Marble? Immortality? Like – standing under flying pigeons forever?
And which superlatively significant moment could I possibly choose from the dazzling panorama of my life in the last month? Me driving the car? Quaffing coffee at the Mobil in Bulla? Driving in the other direction? Quaffing more coffee at Bulla? Or – yes, this is the one! Quaffing coffee at the kitchen sink. That’s my immortality for sure. The me that will be instantly recognisable to all who have ever known me. The me that will be handed down through the generations as the antithetic role model.
Oh the wonder of it all! How warmly reassuring to know that when I’m gone, pigeons can rest on my coffee mug as well as my head!

Hehe, love the humour in this one!
Thank you! I had great fun writing it.
