DAILY PROMPT: BREAKDOWN
Tell us about a habit you’d like to break. Is there any way it can play a positive role in your life?
I can see you haven’t quite got the message yet – that I am totally and utterly perfect in every way: that any habits you may think you perceive are in fact life choices, and that the merest glimpse of anything I wished to change would be dealt with instantly, flawlessly and without regret. Usually by total inertia.
My face has wrinkles because I dote on and preserve every trace of my chaotic past. My house has cobwebs in corners because spiders are dear friends I welcome with cries of delight. The books on my bedroom floor are my personal library through which I wander with endless pleasure, and while you may see my desk as a tip, I see it as a constant source of inspirational surprises.
That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet…

I am with you on the spiders I once read they like to spin their webs is happy homely places, so I don’t mind them at all.
I think my place must be very homely. The day after I remove them, they’re back. Only daddy longlegs, happily. Don’t like the big hairy ones.

I don’t even mind the big hairy spiders that jump backward (or, haha, forward???) — I mind only the ones that are able to look like a finial on the lamp shade. Gah!
Or the ones that leer at you just after you’ve hopped into bed
LOL — great. It’s nighttime here, and now I’ve gotta sleep with the lights on!
