people running through the rain,
hair dripping, shirts soaked.
Funny how getting wet
is In.
Coats and umbrellas are so
Yesterday.
Reminds me of Lancashire girls
on winter nights-out,
legs goose-pimpled
from skimpy skirts to perilous platforms
on frozen feet.
Hypothermia: the cool alternative
to looking uncool.
