IBQ: Happiness

thCAC3HCR2

Do you remember Happiness is a warm puppy? There’s a lot to be said for that. It suggests so many things:
The warmth of snuggling up to someone who snuggles back, the joy of a warm spring day after a cold winter, the bliss of warm bed…
Undemanding companionship…
The security of unconditional love…
And innocence. The ability to enjoy the simplicity of now. We lose that too early under the landslide of yesterday’s detritus and tomorrow’s fears. As adults, we tend to see happiness in retrospect; little outcrops of it dotted across the landscape of a decade’s worries that didn’t happen.
