Share your world: Week 31

If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be? (guest can be dead, alive, famous or someone you just know)
On a good day, when I remembered I might once have been articulate, I’d like to invite three paramedics – one British, one American and one Australian – to each give a rundown of a typical working day, and then have all three of them discuss what they’ve heard. Paramedics see it all, I think; it would be a fascinating insight into the similarities and differences between countries.
On an ordinary day, the whole idea of having a talk show would bring me out in a rash, so I’d line up Michael Parkinson, Billy Connelly and Robin Williams. Michael Parkinson could wind the other two up and let them go, and I wouldn’t have to do a thing!

What can you always be found with?
My keys. I do have an elaborate system of getting back in if I forget them, but if this fails, the Strata Manager has the only other set, and he’s not available out of hours. It would be too embarrassing to have to call the fire brigade to break in for me!

What is the most fun thing you did in school?
Left.

What’s something you know you do differently than most people?
Nothing that I can think of. How boring of me!

And now, sadly, Robin Williams has gone. We watched Billy Connelly’s farewell show last week (we taped it ages ago). He has Parkinsons Disease and it wasn’t until the doctor told him he wasn’t going to die from the cancer he had had, that he even realised he could go any day. So he amused us with a show about death and dying. You’re right, off course, Michael Parkinson would get them going and you could just sit back laughing. The hard part would be getting them to stop before you busted something! 😀
