Super Sensitive
If you were forced to give up one sense, but gain super-sensitivity in another, which senses would you choose?
There’s no doubt about it, Kimmie and Kannie have outdone themselves. For her second birthday, North will receive 12 million dollars’ worth of private Caribbean island, and a reserved seat ($250,000) on the Virgin Galactic. What little girl wouldn’t be thrilled with that? (Provided, of course, they’re gift-wrapped.) Makes the rest of us look pretty shabby, doesn’t it.
But then I guess we’re not all as dedicated to seeing our child grow up to be ‘the coolest person in the world’. I mean, for some people, seeing them grow up at all would be nice. Which sort of got me thinking.
According to World Vision US figures, $12,250,000 would support 1822 children in Third World countries for sixteen years each. You know, stop them dying of hunger, that sort of thing.
I suppose it must depend on your definition of ‘cool’.
Or perhaps my sense of outrage is over-developed.
And ridiculous that they have been able to earn enough to make this gift. Disgusting world at times. http://ceenphotography.com/2015/06/07/cees-odd-ball-photo-challenge-2015-week-23/
I guess it does take a certain skill to be famous for being famous – but it’s not a skill that fills me with admiration!
The gap between rich and poor got smaller for a while at the beginning of this century, but in the past 40 years has been getting larger each year. It’s going back to the way it was in midaevil Europe — with peasants and royalty — and little in between.
I think what annoys me most is the complete lack of understanding among the rich, who seem to think the poor are poor because they’re lazy.
When it comes to the Kardashians, it’s impossible for outrage to be over-developed.
😀 I can admire their skill at parlaying nothing into a fortune. It’s what they do with it that appals me
I feel sorry for that poor two-year-old. 😦
Yes. Hard to imagine how she’ll ever be ‘normal’.
