About me
I'm a freelance writer - fiction, nonfiction and anything else that happens to tango its way through my mind. That's for me, and I've won a competition or two, and been published in a range of media. To keep the wolf from the door, I also edit, proofread and write for other people. Love it all. Aren't I lucky?

DAILY PROMPT Footsteps When I was about 15, I decided in moment of wild resentment and bugger you then, to follow in my eldest sister’s footsteps all the way to Oxford (which was where she was headed at the time … Continue reading
Daily prompt: Commonsense beats fearlessness every time
DAILY PROMPT Fearless Write a new post in response to today’s one-word prompt. Fearlessness is pretty stupid, really. Fear is good. It stops us swimming in crocodile-infested waters and nipping across the 6-lane highway where the traffic’s doing 110. It … Continue reading
Daily prompt: Dream a little dream – or in this case, a fairly big one
DAILY PROMPT Help Write a new post in response to today’s one-word prompt. Back in the days when I was raising and supporting four kids on a wing and a prayer, I jettisoned the brain fluff (as you do when … Continue reading

DAILY PROMPT Dirty Write a new post in response to today’s one-word prompt. There’s nothing new under heaven, so they say – or words to that effect. But there’s no question in my mind that back in the old days … Continue reading
