Daily prompt: The pragmatism of age

I’m pretty sure we all struggle at some point in our lives. I imagine even those rich enough to make practical problems vanish have the odd existential twinge from time to time. And on the whole we cope because we have no alternative – and because not coping is very messy. I know this from experience.

That’s all I want to say about struggling, because rehashing it in hindsight is a terrible, depressing waste of time and anticipating it is tempting the gods to laugh and laugh.
