Shelf
Write a new post in response to today’s one-word prompt.
I have made a shelf for myself on which I sit and observe the world. Not very friendly, you might think. Not involved and inclusive. But we all do what seems right at the time and adjust it later if necessary. So far there’s been nothing to suggest that the world would benefit if I hopped down and got stuck in.
Occasionally I’m arrogant enough to wish it was different: to wish that something I wrote or said would make people stop and think. But bashing your head against a brick wall is notoriously bad for the brain, so it’s better to be realistic.
